Yorkshire Born and Bred

A course designed to celebrate everything our county has to offer. You will make a variety of dishes using produce and ingredients sourced locally. Support your local farmers, producers and businesses as well as reducing food miles and your carbon footprint. Fresh is always best!

You will cook all the dishes demonstrated and leave with a part prepared dinner for 4. Course includes a light lunch and runs from 10.00am to 3.30pm.

Dishes, depending upon seasonal availability, could include:


  • Grilled Lowna goats cheese and beetroot salad
  • Potted East Yorkshire crab
  • Mr Peck’s hot smoked salmon and dill fishcakes with Yorkshire mayonnaise and dill sauce
  • Shepherds watch and Givendale prime casserole
  • Yorkshire lamb and black pudding hot pot
  • Belly of pork with sausagemeat and apple stuffing
  • Pheasant cooked in Wold top beer with carrots and honey
  • Strawberry and lemon curd cake
  • Gooseberry and elderflower mess
  • Butter and brown sugar roast apples with Yorkshire Wolds apple juice parfait
