The Year 9 Set 1 mathematicians at St Benedict’s School, Ealing have raised £1058.09 for CAFOD through a class recitation of π. The challenge for the pupils was to memorise as many digits of π as possible and to be sponsored for each digit. Rebecca Walker was the clear winner, breaking the eight year old school record by reciting 260 digits. Top sponsorship collector was Marcin Scicinski.
